Creating a beautiful outdoor space can help to both relax and energise you throughout the year. Our shepherd huts are crafted with great care and attention to detail because we want you to be able to enjoy them for many years to come.
While at the Westmorland Show earlier in the year, we met the team from ‘Firehouse’ who manufacture cedar wood hot tubs and seem as passionate about the materials and build quality of their products as we are.
We believe that thinking about how we can improve sustainability is very important, not only to us but also to our customers. That’s one of the reasons why we utilise sheep wool insulation in our shepherd huts. It is not only a fantastic insulator that helps to regulate the temperature of the shepherd hut in both summer and winter, but it is also an all-natural product. Firehouse uses red cedar wood due to its strength and insulation properties, but also due to it being a fast-growing tree and a sustainably managed source of timber.
When we think of a shepherd hut, we think of it as something that complements its natural environment rather than competes with it. We believe this helps make a more back-to-nature and tranquil environment for you or your guests. If you like the idea of a hot tub, but you want it to fit the aesthetic of your surroundings, a cedar wood hot tub could be a fantastic addition to your shepherd hut rather than a plastic-moulded one. Depending on your vision for your outdoor area, you could have a freestanding hot tub near your shepherd hut area, or you may want to go for their built-in option and blend it into a nearby decking area.
Another great addition to your shepherd hut area could be one of our barrel bars for when you want to entertain your guests in the evening.
